Cloudcroft, New Mexico
Cloudcroft is a delightful mountain village with lush forests and panoramic views of the white sands dessert below. At 9,000 ft elevation, it is the perfect place to cool off during the hot summer months. Classes are held in the "Red Brick Schoolhouse," now used as a library and within walking distance of the many downtown shops and restaurants.
If you fly, the closest airport is El Paso, Texas. The Albuquerque, New Mexico airport is slightly further, but desirable if you wish to also visit Santa Fe.
